2026 VIAAA New Athletic Directors Workshop

The 2026 VIAAA New Athletic Directors Workshop will be held at the Fluvanna High School on July 14-16 at the Fluvanna High School in Palmyra. This three-day workshop is designed to:

• Provide a comprehensive foundation for new athletic administrators
• Offer guidance and practical tools to support your first year and beyond
• Help participants begin the path to NIAAA national certification (RAA & CAA)

High school/middle school and public/private athletic administrators are all welcome!

Hurry: This workshop is limited to the first 50 registrants, so early registration is encouraged!

Cost: The fee for this workshop is $250 and includes VIAAA membership, course materials, and a resource drive.

Hotel: You will receive information about hotel accommodations via email after completing your registration.

Course Info: The workshop includes NIAAA LTC 501 & 502, which will be completed during the workshop. Information about LTC 503 will be provided for completion within 60 days. The workshop will also provide guidance on applying for RAA certification. Topics covered include financial procedures and budgets, human resources, legal issues, getting organized (staff, office, community, events), first-year insights, and independent & VHSL-specific topics.
